POSDATA Co., Ltd. (KOSDAQ:022100), the global Mobile WiMAX solution provider in the brand name of FLYVO, announced that it has acquired WiMAX Forum certification for RAS6000 base station that incorporates Mobile WiMAX 2.5GHz profile.
The certified product features MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology that has been defined by the WiMAX Forum.
Since the product operates at 2.5 GHz band in a 10 MHz bandwidth, where the majority of wireless broadband service providers around the world are planning to launch Mobile WiMAX service to, the recent certification is viewed as a securing of a favorable position for Posdata’s future expansion to global markets.
Posdata base station has undergone months of rigorous testing procedure and passed all the requirements to meet interoperability and conformance standards at the certification testing laboratory, which is operated by TTA in Korea. RAS 6000 will be used as a reference base station for TTA’s Mobile WiMAX interoperability test.
Meanwhile, Posdata plans to launch aggressive marketing activities with the certified product’s debut at WiMAX World 2008, being held on October 1 and 2 at Chicago. RAS6000 will be displayed at FLYVO booth(#411).
