The VFS5111 fingerprint sensor offers improved performance and tri-color LED support. With LED logic being integrated into the ASIC, there are no additional components required other than the LED itself, making it a highly cost-effective solution for Notebook PC OEMs.

The tri-color LED can be used not only for fingerprint functions such as the status of the finger swipes, but also for any non-fingerprint related functions such as notifications and alerts – all customizable by the Notebook PC OEMs.
